Fons does have a way to issue a credit, however credits are not usually issued under flat rate subscriptions. Usually students are paying a flat rate to buy into your studio experience(ala the david cutler "savvy music teacher" method...great book btw) They know they are paying x amount per period of time.. and that you've factored in a few missed lessons, sick days, and vacations into your rate. Clients can still cancel or request a reschedule(if your office hours are set up).. as a courtesy to you and to keep your schedule accurate.
To Issue a Credit
Navigate to the client
In the Appointment Setup area, click on the green pencil
Select "Edit Subscription"
Change the cost
Save or Save & Notify
Don't forget to change the cost back once they have received the lower rate
