Setup Online Booking Services / Lesson Booking

If you would like your students to setup their own lessons you can easily setup online booking, if you do all of the scheduling Online Booking setup is not needed.

Online Lesson Booking Features

Common Registration and Booking Issues

  1. Registration Questions Not Visible to New Clients

    • New clients might not see the registration questions if they are using a booking link for a specific service instead of the standalone registration link.

    • Make sure to login

Online Lesson Booking Setup - 3 Easy Steps Step 1 - Configure you booking Settings

  1. Login to Fons, navigate to Booking->Settings tab

  2. Setup your Booking Options

  • Day-of Reminders - Automatically send SMS reminders a few hours before appointments

  • Auto-confirm and/or Require Payment at Booking- Automatically confirm appointments requested by clients or turn off for more control over your calendar.

  • Check the box below to also require payment at time of booking request

  • Auto-Remove Cancellations

  • Availability will be automatically updated when clients cancel appointments.

  • Future Booking - Limit how far in advance appointments can be booked

  • Availability Intervals - Show availabilities starting on the 15s, 30s, or hours.

  • Scheduling Blackout - Avoid last minute requests by requiring clients to book in advance

  • Registration - you can toggle on to accept new clients and require new clients to answer new student registration questions. * Each service you setup in step 2 can have separate questions as well for current and new students to answer.

Troubleshooting Registration Questions

  • If registration questions are not visible to new clients, ensure you are using the dedicated registration form link for new client registrations.

  • For service-specific questions, add them directly to the service settings to ensure they appear during the booking process.

  • Test the registration flow in an incognito window to confirm the questions appear as expected.

NOTE: Scheduling blackout times prevent clients from creating NEW appointments on your calendar - they do NOT prevent clients from registering for group classes or workshops that are already on your calendar Step 2 - Setup Services

  • Skip to step 3 If your current clients will only be booking their typical lesson using 1-Click Booking (which you set up when adding them as clients), then you’re all set on that front.

This section is specifically for any additional services you offer—like Meet & Greets, Trial Lessons, or other non-standard appointments. You can add those here so clients can book them separately as needed. 4. Save

  1. Login to Fons, navigate to Booking->

  2. Choose Appointment for Individual Services you offer

  3. Choose Classes to create Public Group lessons for people to join.

  4. Click on the +Add button to the right to start creating a service

  5. Click through the wizard

  6. Title

  7. Location - the location will not be exposed until the lesson is fully booked

  8. Staff members - Step 3 you will setup staff member availability

  9. Appointment duration

  10. Cost - if you have a client that has a package or subscription and you allow them to use it to pay for a service check the box to "Accept packages or subscriptions for payment", if they do not have a subscription they will be charged the amount you put under Charge.

  • Ex: If a student who has a package or subscription books the service pictured below - you are allowing them to pay for the lesson with that. If a student does not have a package or subscription they will be charged $85.

Once saved you will be able to: 5. Publish - if you don't publish the service is private and only admin can see

  • edit the service by clicking on any of the 3 pencils

  • insert a photo

  • create registration questions - these questions will be required by new and current students. To set up only new student registration questions set under Booking->settings tab in Step 1

Step 3 - Setup Booking Availability To create times when you or your staff are available to be booked see Set Up / Block Available Booking Times ** If you don't set any availability for you or staff members then they will not show anytimes on the calendar to be booked.

Testing and Verification

  • After making changes to your registration or booking setup, test the process as a new client. Use an incognito or private browsing window to simulate a fresh user experience and confirm that all forms and questions appear as intended.
