Fons provides the ability to sync with your other calendars.

FAQs

  • For Google calendar, you can sync your Fons appointments to show in your Google Calendar. And you now have the option to have your Google appointments block off availability in your Fons Calendar.

  • For iCal, you can only sync your Fons appointments to show in your iCal

  • If you need staff members calendars to sync to another calendar they can use the "Other Calendars" and copy and paste the link to you

  • Changes to the original calendar should be reflected in the connected calendar within a few seconds. If you're not seeing the new event in your calendar as expected, try refreshing the page

Google Calendar Sync

Fons Calendar → Google

Automatically sync your Fons appointments to Google Calendar. Only appointments where you are the provider will sync.

  1. While in Fons navigate to Settings->Personal Profile->Calendar

  2. Choose "CONNECT TO GOOGLE"

  3. Sign in to the Google account calendar you want to sync with

  4. Click "Continue"

sync fons with a google calendar

Google Calendar → Fons (Optional)

Automatically sync the events from your selected Google calendar(s) into your Fons calendar. Events from your Google calendar will display as "Busy" in your Fons calendar when a single staff member is selected. No private details will be shown.

  1. While in Fons navigate to Settings->Personal Profile->Calendar

  2. Connect your Google calendar (see "Fons Calendar → Google" steps above)

  3. Click "ADD CALENDARS"

  4. Select the Google calendar(s) you would like to sync into Fons. Note: you can select more than one calendar if you'd like.

  5. Click "Save"

  6. If you go to "Calendar" and select your name, you should now see all "busy" events in your Google calendar displayed as "Busy" in your Fons calendar

Notes on Google Calendar → Fons:

  • All Google events that sync into your Fons calendar will display as "Busy" (the event title and event details will not be shown in Fons)

  • You can only make changes to your Google calendar in Google, not in Fons

  • If you are invited to an event in your Google calendar, that event will show in your Fons calendar unless you decline the event invite.

  • Only Google calendar events that are marked as "Busy" in your Google calendar will sync to your Fons calendar. If a Google event is marked as "Free" in your Google calendar, it will not sync into Fons.

  • You can change an event from "free" to "busy" in your Google calendar if you'd like it to show in Fons. Note: while most Google events default to "Busy" status, all-day events and tasks default to "free" status.

  • You can add any Google calendar you have access to or delete which Google calendars are synced to your Fons calendar at any time

  • You can only connect one Google account to your Fons account at a time
