Set Up / Block Available Booking Times - Office Hours

"Default" availability is for regular days clients can schedule appointments themselves. You can add additional availabilities on specific dates or date ranges when you need an alternate schedule for things like summer hours, one-off days, holidays, vacation days, dentist appointments, etc and don't want to change your regular hours.

FAQ

  • Availabilities are not needed if you do not allow your clients to book their own appointments

  • Only staff with an admin role can setup staff booking times

  • Easily block or create temporary availability for one-off days or times or several days

4 Ways to Create availabilities that clients can book appointments


Set Up Default Availability clients can book appointments

  1. Log into your Fons account, then navigate to Settings->Staff, select staff member. If you need temporary hours see Setting Up temporary Hours

Note:

  • There is also a quick action Availability button you can access from the calendar, this feature is great for just one off times. If you have multiple staff members you must first select a staff member for the button to be visible. This feature overrides all availability ranges set.

  • If you need temporary hours see Setting Up temporary Hours

2. Under the Availability section, click to create your Default Availability clients

3. Select the day of the week, create the time for that day, continue through each day

until you are done

5. Repeat for each day of the week you are available.

6. Click the save icon

To view on your calendar, if you have multiple staff members make sure to select only one at a time to view availability. The open availability for bookings will show in their staff color. To see in the calendar more in-depth you can click on the "Edit Availability" button, this button is for quick one-off day changes, not a permanent schedule.

Example: If you are available from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm on Mondays, but take 2 hours off every Monday from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, you would create an entry from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, and then a second one from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

Block Dates/Times clients can book appointments

  1. If you already have your default hours setup click button to create temporary block availabilities . * These will override your default availabilities

  2. Create an availability range and leave it blank, this will override your default and/or temporary range of office hours. Make sure to save it by clicking on the save icon.

  2. Under the Availability section, click

    "ADD AVAILABILITY" to create your Temporary Availability clients can book appointments

    3. Select the day of the week, create the time for that day, continue through each day until you are done

    5. Repeat for each day of the week you are available.

    6. Click the Save

    Example: If you are available from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm on Mondays, and Tuesday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and then 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm you would use 2 entries for Tuesday

Quick Action Availability clients can book appointments - used for one-off days

  1. Navigate to the calendar

  2. Select the staff member (only one at a time)

  3. Click 'EDIT AVAILABILITY" button - bottom right corner

  4. Click on the calendar on the day you wish to edit (must be a future day)

  5. Create available booking times

  6. Save
