To stop sms text messages the client can simply reply "stop" to the text or login to their fons profile at https://fons.app, navigate to Settings->Profile and toggle off sms reminders.

There is not a way to stop the email notifications with in the app however you can customize the notifications you see by creating a rule in your email client.
