How to message your clients as a group or individual

You can send an individual message or a group email within Fons. Three ways to send a message.

FAQs

  • Our messaging (email) system uses a common programming language called "Markdown" to format messages. Use the Markdown Guide

  • Clients will receive the email in their email inbox as well as in the Fons App under the Conversations tab.

  • As of now staff cannot be messaged from the system

  • 3 ways to send a message -

  • You can bulk message and filter for recipients, recipients do not see who else the message was sent to, like bcc

  • You can create a markdown image to show images

  • Attachments are not a supported feature as of now

  • If a client replies, the sender will receive an email notification about it and it will also appear in the Conversations Tab under the clients name.

3 Ways to Send a Message

Note: Once a message is sent to a single recipient or group it will, it will appear under the clients conversation tab in the client details. If the client replies it will be found under the ToDo tab until you mark it read as well as the client conversation tab.

Client Details

  1. Click on the client tab and navigate to the client you would like to message

  2. Click on the Conversation tab

  3. Type the Message and click on the arrow to send

*Use for a Group Message / Email

  1. Click on the +New button at the top of any Fons Page

  2. Select send message

  3. Add recipients (it bcc clients), subject and message.

    • To send as a group click on the magnifying glass on the right of the "Clients" and "select all" or if you have labeled your clients you can filter by label and "select all"

  4. Click Send Message

Appointment Details - use to send to clients of a specific appointment

  1. Open an appointment

  2. Under the attendee section click on the 3 dots

  3. Send Message
